Children's Wellbeing

For our parent support resource this week, please see a link to supporting children with their wellbeing. This gives a range of strategies for dealing with worries and anxiety at home.

Please see below for a link to keeping children safe in the sun. Please ensure that children bring a hat/suncream/water to school when warm weather is expected.

We often have discussions with parents regarding parental controls on devices at home. It can be a minefield but here is a handy guide to keeping your children safe online by putting measures in place at home.

Good morning,

I hope that you had a nice weekend. In school, we are constantly developing our approach to online safety and working hard to ensure that your children have a healthy understanding of how to use the internet safely.

Should you have any worries or queries about what your children are accessing online, please do not hesitate to come and speak to myself or your child's class teacher.

Below is a link to lots of useful websites concerning online safety that are very useful as a point of reference.

The 3rd Monday in January, is often referred to as 'Blue Monday' and described as 'the most difficult day of the year'. Although this is a myth, the Samaritans label this day 'Brew Monday', the day to have a cuppa and a chat with those we care about.

If something is playing on your mind, please reach out and let me know. I am more than happy to have an informal chat over a cup of tea if there is anything that I can do to help.

Just send me an email at head@greataddington.pdet.org.uk or pop in one morning or afternoon.

For further information on the support offered by the Samaritans, please see their website below.
